TONYA DALHAUS/ COMMUNICATION HUMANIZED
Digital Content
Creating interesting, engaging, and somewhat humorous course content is a real passion of mine. I often hear from my students that my class was fun, which is so important to me! I believe that learning can be fun while still honoring the value and earnestness of the lesson. I think we can all use a little more humor in our lives!
The Wise Speaker
I wrote, produced, and did the voice over for this short online tutorial for my class on public speaking. The animations were done in Renderforest. I really enjoy trying out new creative applications to enhance my courses.
Icebreakers and Energizers for All
I pride myself on producing my own materials for my courses. In this tutorial on presentation skills, I try to create interest and engagement by utilizing images, slides, and stories. The piece was created using Keynote for the slides, and edited in Final Cut Pro. The audio was produced in Garage band.
Tips For Success - Sway Presentation
When I started using this Sway presentation at the beginning of my courses, I found both the students engagement and performance increased exponentially. I'm a firm believer in setting people up for success by establishing boundaries and expectations up front. The Sway presentation is one way in which I give students that benefit.
